What help can we offer?

We can provide one-to-one linking services, tailored to families’ specific needs, including:

  • personal care such as help with dressing, washing or eating meals
  • practical care such as shopping, collecting benefits or pensions, help preparing meals
  • out-of-home activities such as visiting local playgrounds, libraries, going swimming, etc
  • independence skills

We provide 1:1 linking services, that are available to our members in one of 4 ways:

  • via Direct Payments — for more information, contact DASL on 020 7738 5656 or visit www.disabilitylambeth.org.uk
  • via In Control — for more information, contact the team on 0207 926 4660
  • For children with more challenging behaviour requiring 1:1 or 2:1 — call your social worker or the duty social worker on 0207 926 5152 to find out if you could be offered a service.
  • via a private arrangement whereby families pay for the links themselves.

Come and discuss your requirements with us.

There are three methods of payment for linking:-

  • Direct Payments - For more information, contact DASL on 020 7924 9621
  • Spot Purchase - From Lambeth contact your social worker on 0207 926 5152 to find out if you could be offered the service.
  •  Private Arrangement

This is where families pay for the links themselves.

Lifelong Family Links have a number of young people who are due to start college this year.  As part of our service, we can offer support by escorting young people to and from college or even shadow them throughout the day in a discreet manner. This will allow them to feel confident in making new friends and know that they have the support from our linker should they need it when venturing into new areas.

Our objective is to support young people to be in control, and on their way to possible independence.  This is also the aim of Lambeth local authority group “In control”. You can view this on their website.

For further information regarding our facilities on the nature of the above, please contact the linking co-ordinator on 020 8671 8939.
